The Odyssey - Review

Students will be reviewing and preparing for Wednesday's test on The Odyssey.

Life after High School - Counselor Visit

Ms. Barber will be visiting our Mythology class and preparing us for the upcoming events for juniors and seniors that will help prepare them for their futures.

College Fair - Thursday, September 25 8:15-11:30 at Flathead High School.
Be sure to select at least three booths that you plan on visiting. Register for the College Cash at www.montanacolleges.com/scholarships for the chance to win $1000.

Senior Seminar - October 10 (8:00-3:15) at Flathead Valley Community College.

Juniors and Seniors planning to attend college need to register for the ACT/SAT/PSAT. For dates and times, visit your guidance counselor.

The Odyssey - Film

Students will be watching the video The Odyssey and will be responsible for identify differences between the film and the book. Students will then participate in a discussion and make conclusion on the purpose and effectiveness of these differences.

Odysseus Presentations

Students will be presenting their chapter summaries and posters from an assigned chapter from Homer's epic adventure The Odyssey.

Friday - 9/12

Presentations on individual chapters from The Odyssey.

Thursday - 9/11

Finish research and make posters. Presentations will start Friday.

Wednesday 9/10

Today we are going the Writing Center type our summaries and do research for presentations on our chapter for The Odyssey.

Tuesday - 9/2/08

English 12B is off to a true English start. Today we drafted our writing sample essays so that Ms. Turcotte and Mrs. Ashworth can see where we are as writers and decide what we need to work on as a class to improve. Tomorrow we will be going to the computer lab to set up our individual blogs so that we can publish our work and ideas online. Cool!
